About Select Solar

Select Solar is an independent family-owned business established in 2002 by Fran Tattersall and Paul Beattie. We have built up a reputation as a company that cares about the environment we live in, with the technical knowledge and expertise to advise on all types of off-grid solar projects. Here at Select Solar we care very much about our customers and spend time making sure each one ends up with the right product, and has it delivered quickly and efficiently.

In all our dealings with customers, staff and suppliers we act ethically and treat others as we would wish to be treated ourselves. Staff work flexible hours to accommodate their individual circumstances. Living and working in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside keeps us happy and means Digby the office dog gets plenty of walks!

How we reduce our environmental impact

  • We are keenly aware of our environmental responsibilities and have tried to promote the use of solar energy as part of all our daily lives by sourcing high quality products that can fit into anybody's life style.

    • Power

      Select Solar's warehouse and office in Cricklade are powered by 100% renewable energy from Good Energy.

    • Waste

      We reuse and recycle the vast majority of our paper and packaging. Paper is put through the printer twice before being shredded and used in packaging. Cardboard boxes are reused and cut to size if necessary. Any polystyrene, bubble wrap or foam that comes into the warehouse is reused Ð we even take waste packaging from neighbouring businesses.

    • Printing and paper

      We only print stationary as we need it, and use recycled paper and biodegradable inks whenever possible. All printer cartridges are recycled.

    • Telecoms

      Select Solar's phone provider is Dial Green, the first carbon neutral telecoms value-added provider to supply line rental, calls, broadband and teleconferencing offset by projects ranging from planting of native broad leaved trees in the UK to various projects in 3rd world countries.

    • Travel

      We all live locally and don't make unnecessary journeys. Fran and Paul use locally-sourced biodiesel.
